Mitzi Mitchell Petty, age 65 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away May 29, 2023 at her home. She was retired from the Haleyville City Schools as a Special Education Coordinator , and was a member of Corinth Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Lance Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Petty is survived by her husband, Barry Petty; children, Barry Mitchell Petty II and Emma Katherine Petty; sisters, Leah Butler, Martha Lee Mitchell and Tracy Chisolm; a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Olga Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Autism Association in her memory.
