Mrs. Billie Jean Holmes Reeves, 84, of Darden, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, in Lexington. Mrs. Reeves, the widow of Nelson Reeves, Sr., was born January 27, 1939, in Darden to the late John Howard and Laura Carrington Howard Dills. She was a retired Eaton employee and a member of Darden Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Reeves is survived by daughter Debra Casteel (Danny); step daughter, Reatha Tharp (Philip); step son, Nelson Reeves Jr. (Angie); eight grandchildren: Felecia Perkins Smith, Brandy Fisher (Alan), Christopher Holmes, Crystal Boynton (Jason), Brooklyn Hudson, Allyson Reeves, Alyssa Reeves, Candace Boyd; and five great grandchildren; Aden Ayers, Halen Smith, Greyde Hudson, Lyndie Hudson, and Case Reeves. She was preceded in death by two husbands Coline Holmes and Nelson Reeves, Sr; a son, Alvin Holmes; three sisters: Raymell Howard, Arbelle Holmes, and Rudene Maness; and a great-grandchild, Cameron Pevahouse.
The family will receive friends at Pafford Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday at Darden Pentecostal Church from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Darden Pentecostal Church with burial to follow in the Darden Cemetery.
