Jeffery Lynn Russ of Fayetteville, TN passed away on May 24, 2023 in his home surrounded by his wife and daughters, after a long battle with Melanoma.
He was born on June 30, 1953 to Sherman and Sophronia Steakley Russ. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Pillow Russ; daughters Angela Cannizzaro (Mike) and Rachael Martinez (Roger); granddaughters: Shelby McClung, Ashleigh Crabtree and Kathryn Martinez; grandsons: Cayson Martinez, Lucas Green, and Cayden Martinez; his best friend and brother, Joseph Russ; and his beloved sister, Lisa Hall.
Jeff and Karen were married in 1978 and loved each other fiercely. They spent every moment together, went on many vacations, and made the best out of every situation. They were locally known for their rendition of “Seven Bridges Road” and many other karaoke songs.
Jeff served in the Navy, achieved Bachelor and Master degrees despite working full-time with a young family. He worked as a Cybersecurity Engineer for Radiance Technologies. Jeff was extremely talented musically and very artistic. All of his achievements were self-taught and handled with precision and care. He exemplified hard-work, ethics, and a strong love for his family.
He was a member of Lincoln Missionary Baptist and loved his pastor and church family.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, mother and his older brother, Stan Russ.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 27th from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by memorial service at 4:00.
