Freddie Mae Sims Lewis Elmore, 90, of Athens, passed away May 3rd, 2023. Mrs. Elmore was born on September 3rd, 1932, to Fred and Elvie Sims.
Mrs. Elmore is survived by her daughter Angela Lewis Green of Athens, AL; son Gary Wade Lewis (Wanda Gail) of Athens, AL; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Elmore is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Elvie Sims; husbands David Alfred Lewis and Marvin Elmore; grandson Travis Lewis; brothers Pasley Sims, Ronald Sims, David Sims, Roy Lee Sims, Jasper Sims, and Bobby Sims; sisters Amelia Sims Mills, Shirley Sims Draper, Everdean Sims Gilbert, and Louise Sims.
The funeral service will be Sunday, May 7th, 2023, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m., with David Cox officiating. Visitation will be at Limestone Chapel, on Sunday, from 12:00 to 1:50 p.m. Pallbearers will be Gary Lewis, Andrew Martin, Chase Craig, Jeff Craig, David Reece, and Dakota Vaughn. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Elmore was a member of Market Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
