Funeral service for Britt Nickens, 65, will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Geoff Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Nickens died on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born August 30, 1957, in Morgan County, to Harry Nickens and Lila Grace Roberson Nickens.
Mr. Nickens had a BS Degree in Management and HR. He was employed with Pilgrim’s Pride as a live haul manager and service manager, prior to his retirement. He served in the United States Army National Guard for 26 years prior to retiring. He also was a Mason of Lodge # 398, Nunn-Oden Lodge. He loved to fish, do woodworking and doing yardwork.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother: Johnny Nickens.

Daughter – Brittney Sparkman
Sisters – Lynn Thompson (Eddie)
Vennessia Orr (David)
Two Grandchildren – Connor Sparkman and Lily Sparkman
Two Step-Grandchildren- Brooklyn and Braden Vann
Pallbearers will be Connor Sparkman, Daniel Bolio, Andy Foster, Sawyer Smith, David Orr, Jr., and Daniel Orr.
