John Christopher Cordle, 46, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia.
Born in Texas, raised in Tennessee, where at the age of 14 John met Callie, the absolute love of his life. Together in joy, they moved to North Alabama in 2008, where they raised their 3 sons.
John spent 29 years in the grocery industry and served as a mentor to many. He retired from his role as Store Manager with Publix Supermarkets in 2022.
John was like the sun. His spirit, light, and love filled everyone around him with warmth and happiness. His ease of laughter and carefree charm brought comfort and friendship to all who knew him. His greatest delight was found in the company of his family and friends. John was the gold standard for thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity. He loved to travel, discover new things, sit on the back deck, play with his granddaughters, tease his wife, share a laugh with his in-laws, treat his mom to lunch, and be with his sons. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.
John is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Callie Cordle; sons, John C. Cordle II, Matthew R. Cordle, and Nicholas B. Cordle; mother, Patricia A. Curry; sisters, Wendy Anderson and Lisa Lewis; brother, T.J O’Brien; grandchildren, Gianna Cordle, Valentina Cordle, and Caterina Cordle; and mother and father-in-law, Bill and Belinda Christopher.
He was immensely loved and the void of his absence is immeasurable.
