Barbara F. Gautreaux, 81, of Decatur Alabama, passed away March 19, 2023 at her residence.
Barbara is preceded by her parents Lloyd Smith and Lillie Mae McIntyre Smith, husband, Louis Joseph Gautreaux, brother Frank Smith, and brother-in-law Jim Hayes.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Gautreaux, sister, Carolyn Hayes, three nephews, and one niece.
Barbara was a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. She loved reading her Bible. She retired from Civil Service after 23 years of service. She was a 1960 graduate of Decatur High School.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 2:00PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow service at Midway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friend’s from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project.
