James Billy Taylor, age 73, Brilliant, AL. passed away Monday March 20, 2023. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded numerous commendations, later served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon.
Visitation will be Saturday March 25, 2023 3:00PM – 4:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 4:00PM in the chapel, with Bro. Shawn Blanton officiating. Burial to follow in Myers Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Pam (Mitch) Baggett and Billy (Cassi) Taylor; adopted son, Tony (Brandy) Bray; grandchildren, Jarrett, Lee, Seth and adopted granddaughters, Jade and Emma; brother, Clemon (Renea) Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Taylor; parents, Olivia and Murry Taylor; sisters, Geraldine Fowler and Caroline Taylor; grandparents, Felix and Addie E. Taylor and Arva and Eunice Cagle.
