Hoyte Lamar Naylor, 85, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at his residence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Perry McCravy officiating. Burial will be at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Moulton.
Born on June 26, 1937, to Miles Jack and Nellie Ledlow Naylor, Hoyte enjoyed watching the Alabama Crimson Tide and playing cards. Hoyte also enjoyed causing trouble with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rosie Nell Naylor; three children, Felicia Lay (Jason), Meschelle Naylor, and Scottie Naylor; two grandchildren, Jordan Shelton (Halie) and Jamie Brooke Naylor; two sisters, Mary Spillers and Margaret Jackson (Billy); three brothers, Marshall Naylor (Dorothy), Rod Naylor (Elizabeth), and Windell Naylor; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Hoyte was preceded in death by his parents, Miles Jack and Nellie Ledlow Naylor; and one son, Gregory Naylor.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Naylor, Jordan Shelton, Jamie Brooke Naylor, Jason Lay, Dewayne Naylor, and Bart Naylor.
