Walter Hayes, age 77, of Killen, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023. Visitation will be Sunday, February 5th from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Monday, February 6th at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Robert Clark officiating. Burial will be at Shaw Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Green and Lena Hayes; sisters and brothers.
Survivors are his wife, Pam Hayes; 1 sister and 1 brother.
Walter was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was retired with New Haven Founder as a welder and was president and member of UAW local #429.
