Verdell Matthews, age 73 of Boaz passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Crossville Health Care.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Boaz Carr Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Happy Hill Cemetery. Rev. Shannon Pullen will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 before the service at the funeral home.
He is survived by his sons; Jubal Matthews (Melissa) and Jericho Matthews, grandchildren; Jason and George Matthews and brother; William Matthews (Elaine).
He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Pearl Matthews, brothers; Verbon, Robert, John and Carl Matthews and sister; Shirley Matthews.
