Sue Corbett, 91, of Decatur, passed way January 27, 2023.
Sue was born to Randall and Mildred Turlington. She is survived by her children, Cindy Pearsall and Tully Corbett (Debbie), grandsons Nicholas Smith (Courtney) and Turlington Corbett, great grandchildren Ella Grey Smith and Kelsey Pearsall and sister Bette Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gil Corbett, stepmother Josephine Turlington, brothers Johnny and Tommy Turlington, sister Rosa West and grandson Cory Pearsall. She also leaves behind cherished extended family and treasured friends.
Sue spent her life in service to others, as a caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was a school teacher for 40+ years, most of which was in Decatur City Schools. She was a dear friend to many and opened her arms and home often in her lifetime and was a source of welcome and love to many.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Decatur at 2pm. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
