Richard C. Messervy (age 73), of Huntsville, AL, passed away on December 31, 2022. Richard was born on May 23, 1949, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Lavon and Roma Messervy. He is survived by his four children, Rebecca Moreno (Nick) of Harvest, AL, Lee Messervy (Nickole) of Madison, AL, Jonathan Messervy (Liz) of Washington, DC, and Heather Messervy of Huntsville, AL; seven grandsons; two sisters and two brothers; many nieces and nephews; and wife Sharron. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Richard was a hard-working car enthusiast and loving father. His children have many happy memories camping as a family, working on cars, and attending concerts together. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was passionate about family history work. Richard will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Byrd Springs Building (2110 Byrd Springs Rd SW, Huntsville AL, 35802) on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm; funeral service to immediately follow. Interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens will follow at a later date.
