William H. “Bill” Berger, 69, of Madison passed away peacefully on Thursday surrounded by his family. Bill grew up in Milton, PA. A Viet Nam vet, he served his country in the US Air Force for eight years as an aircraft electrician. He graduated from Chapman College in California. Bill moved to Huntsville to work as a software engineer. He retired from Raytheon Corporation.

Bill enjoyed bicycling, fishing, golf, ice skating, playing hockey and building model trains and airplanes.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Berger. Bill is survived by his wife, Donna White Berger; children Jennifer McClure (Nic) and Steven Berger (Catharine); granddaughter, Allyson McClure; his father, Harry Berger; brother, Tom Berger; sisters, Linda Lahr and Susan Berger; two nieces; one nephew; eight great nieces and great nephews; and many cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Tommy Gray officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury Church, 980 Hughes Rd, Madison AL 35758 or the HandUP Foundation, 262 Willow St, Milton PA 17847.
