Harold “Gene” Strain, 92 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, December 25th, 2022. Mr. Strain was born on July 8th, 1930, in Athens, to Thomas Strain and Betty Sue Griffis Strain.
Mr. Strain is survived by his wife of 31 years Peggy; children Steven Strain (Barbara), Harold Strain, Charles Strain (Diana); stepchildren Ben Baldwin (Renee), and Rena Gilbert (Paul); grandchildren Ian, Victoria, Meredith, Bonnie, and Will; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Strain was a member of St. Timothy Episcopal Church.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
