Reba Sirten, 91 of Lester, passed away on Saturday, December 24th, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Sirten was born on September 27th, 1931, in Bethel, Tennessee, to Virgil and Lorine McMullins Colvett.
Mrs. Sirten is survived by her children Linda Lewis (John), Glenn Sirten, and Tony Sirten (Ronnie); grandchildren Liana Carter (Tom), Jeremy Lewis, and Tom Sirten; great-grandchildren Gil Carter, Boone Carter, Adara Carter, Tom Sirten, and Anthony Sirten; brothers R.L. Colvett and Bobby Colvett (Kay); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Tom Sirten; and brothers Ed Colvett and Doug Colvett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sirten will be Thursday, December 29th, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Gil Carter and Boone Carter officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Legg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Sirten, Tom Tom Sirten, Anthony Sirten, Chad Spencer, Chris Spencer, William Spencer, and Bentley Stevens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Wilson, Corey Wilson, Benny Colvett, Darrell Colvett, and Brent Colvett.
Mrs. Sirten had a servant’s heart, volunteering for Hospice of Limestone County. She loved the art of quilting and was a master at her craft. She was a faithful member of Elkmont Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Mrs. Sirten’s memory to Hospice of Limestone County or The Legg Cemetery Fund.
