Robert Lee “Bob” Carr, Jr., 85 of Arab passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Marshall Medical Center North. Bob was born October 23, 1937, in Marshall County the son of Robert Lee Carr, Sr. and Vernie Viola Needham Carr. He served in the Army and then the National Guard for 15 years. He worked in insurance sales for many years and later in construction. Bob was a member of Life Gate Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Fannie Carr; children: Tina Neal, Tina Chatham and Heath McBride; brother: James Carr; sister: Nellie Ruth Brock; grandchildren: Chad (Kasey) Wilson, Scott Evans, Ariel Carr, Christopher (Brittany) Arnold, Christina (Chris) Spears, Michael McBride, Andrew McBride, Patrick McBride and Ashley Conklin; Preceded in death by his parents: Robert L. Sr. and Vernie V. Carr; children: Robby Carr, Gina Carr and Dawn McBride; brothers: Wendell Carr, Gene Carr; sister: Shirley Ralph.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Jeff Mims officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Chad Wilson, Scott Evans, John Gilley, Chris Arnold, Heath McBride and Jason Carr.
