Thomas Lee Mayes, age 60, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Lawson officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on May 22, 1962, in Williamson County, Thomas was the son of the late Tommy Mayes and the late Pattie Moody Smith. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and listening to R&B music. His favorite saying was, “Soldier Boy.”
He is survived by his sons, Tranvonti Mayes of Franklin, Thomas Trammell of Columbia, daughter, J’Laira Johnson of Columbia, brothers, Charles (Lois) Norris of Columbia, John Leach of Murfreesboro, and sisters, Esther Jones of Columbia, Pattie Marie Brooks of Columbia, Robbie (Wayne) Orr of Columbia, Deborah Bellafant of Columbia, and Beverly Kaye (Thomas) Carter of Spring Hill.
