Jerry Lee Haraway – Obituary

JerryJerry Lee Haraway, 71, of Rogersville, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at ECM Hospital.

He was a 1959 graduate of Lauderdale County High School, attended Auburn University, a member of West Rogersville Church of Christ and retired from W.L. Hailey and Company, Inc., Nashville, Tenn.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately with Joshua Webber and Warren Glass officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be L. E. Webb, Bill Warden, James Craig, Carl Bates, Robert McGee, Ralph Bedingfield, Jimmy Romine and Donnie Newton. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Webb and Jimmy Haraway.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Ermanee Haraway; and his brother, John Albert Haraway. He is survived by his wife, Ethelene Bates Haraway; children, Troy Lee (Terrie) Haraway and Kellye (Todd) Werner; grandchildren, Krista Haraway, Kaitlyn Grace Werner and Jonathan Haraway; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many, many friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Mayor and neighbor, Richard Herston, and his family, Rogersville Fire Department, Rogersville Senior Center and Rogersville Town Hall for their dedication to Jerry and his family.
