Dana Lyn Parker, 44, of Huntsville, Al passed away peacefully after a 2 year battle with cancer. Dana was born April 20, 1978 in Huntsville to the late Dana H. Parker and Sharon Deason.
She attended Lee High School and Virginia College and worked at The Crisis Center at the time of her diagnosed illness. Dana was an avid animal lover and dedicated many hours to volunteer service involving animals. Dana was a kind, caring individual, a loyal friend and dedicated daughter. She will be remembered by all who knew and loved her for her resilience through insurmountable odds which she handled with dignity and grace.
Dana was preceded in death by her father, Dana H. Parker; sister, Kara Howard and grandparents Seth and Blanche McCracken. Survivors include her mother, Sharon Deason; stepfather, Al Deason; brother-in-law, Jamison Howard; beloved nieces Parker and Olivia Howard; stepsisters, Kendal Deason and Alexis Chandler (Jason); uncle, Robert McCracken (Alison); cousins Josh Walker and Seth McCracken.
