Brenda Carolyn Jones, age 78, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Friday, October 14, 2022 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield with Bro. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery with Bryan Jones, Brandon Jones, Patrick Jones, Cole Jones, Jarrett Pentecost, and Kelby Chowning serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Slate, Joe Slate, Kevin Jones and Jodey Hallman.
The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Thursday and again from 11am until time of service at 1pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born August 14, 1944 in Robertson County to the late John Rayburn and Ruby Dorris Krisle. She retired from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office where she had served as an Administrative Assistant for many years. Mrs. Jones was a member of the North Springfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles W. Jones; sons, Bryan (Shelley) Jones and Brandon (Amy) Jones; 4 grandchildren, Paige, Patrick, Brooke and Cole; 7 great grandchildren; and sisters, Evelyn (Howard) Felton and Joyce Raye (Sam) Patton.
