Albert “Glenn” Byrom, age 69 of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Moore County, he was born on October 30, 1952, to the late James Albert and Ruby Mildred (Rhoton) Byrom. Glenn had been employed at Stone Man for twenty years before retiring from the Moore County Highway Department with twenty-six years of service. An avid Alabama sports fan, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. But most of all, he loved his kids and grandkids. His family and friends will remember his caring and generous personality, as he never met a stranger and was always helping others. Glenn attended Hoover’s Grove Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Joy Byrom; children, Jennifer (Mike) Bell, Allen (Jennifer) Byrom, and Denise (Jason) Myers; grandchildren, Erin Bell, Brandon Bell, Carson Bell, Allie Byrom, Westin Byrom, and Wyatt Byrom; and several friends and other family members. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lynchburg Cemetery.
