Virginia Gipson, age 91, went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 29, 2022, at Lynchburg Nursing Center with her family at her side. She was born August 18, 1931, to Joseph E. and Aubrey L. Gallagher. Along with her parents, she is preceded in the death by her husband Jess Gipson; brothers, Clark, Benton, and Alfred Gallagher; Sisters, Willodean Gallagher, and Clementine Smith; Granddaughter, Jessica Crownover; and Son-in-law, Randy Hall. Virginia enjoyed cooking for her family, and reading, and tending to her flowers. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She loved spending time with all her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Angela Vaughn (Jim) of Tullahoma, and Vicki Hall of Winchester; Grandchildren, Lori Grider and Ami Davis (Shannon); Great grandchildren, Cole Stewart (Tianna), Logan Davis, Layla Miller (Kolbi), Payton Miller, Savanna Cornett (Tyler) and Chance Luye; and Great-great-grandchildren, Kinsley Davis, Blakely Cornett, Stella Stewart, and Ripley Stewart. Visitation will be held Sunday October 2, 2022, from 1:00-3:30pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:30 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Garner Cemetery. A special Thank You to all the staff at Lynchburg Nursing Center, for taking such good care of our Mema and treating her like she was a member their own family.
