Maxine “Max” Cothren, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a retired employee of Murray Ohio Manufacturer, and a self-employed Plumber and Electrician for many years. He was also a member of Salem Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Ellen Tidwell Cothren, one son, Kenneth Ray Cothren, and three brothers, Bob Cothren, Grady Cothren, and Leon Cothren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, March 1, 2013, with Bill Brazier and Keith Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at Bumpas Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family requests memorials be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital or the Hope Lodge at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville, TN.
