Yvonne Russell Grant, age 83 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, at NHC Tullahoma Skilled Care. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky on April 24, 1939, to the late Louis Russell and Tressie (Napier) McGee. Before her retirement, she was employed at Empire Pencil in Shelbyville. A true Christian lady, Yvonne was a member of Church of God in Shelbyville and was faithful in studying and reading her Bible and spreading God’s love. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower gardening, and watching television, especially Rev. Charles Stanley Ministries every Sunday. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren, and cooking meals for them. Her family will remember her beautiful, loving, and kind spirit as she was dearly loved by everyone that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Crystal Gayle Gibbs Bean; siblings, Jackie McGee, Virginia Underwood, BeBe Kaze, Vernon Russell, Jean Shields, Venus Cleek, and Ina Chilcott; niece, Lynn Burt; and several other nieces and nephews. Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, John Grant of Winchester; children, Michael Floyd of Manchester, and Deborah Floyd Gibbs of Winchester; grandson, Jonathon (Taylor) Gibbs of Florence, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Harrison Scott Bean, Griffin Ross Gibbs, Asher Reid Gibbs, and Serena Madden Gibbs; sisters, Jeanette Clark of Taylor, Michigan, and Louise (Ray) Gilliand of Shelbyville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended relatives. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 9, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery.
