Richard Miller, age 75 of Keith Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 20, 1946, to the late Thelbert and Julie (Ann) Steele Miller. Before his retirement, he had been employed at the Franklin County Farmers CO-OP and had previously owned and operated Custom Meat Processing. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed horse riding and working around the barn, as well as singing. He will be remembered for his kind nature and always extending a helping hand to others. Richard was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Varnell Miller and Kenneth Miller. Richard is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Barbara Faye Stovall Miller of Keith Springs; children, Scotty (Nancy) Miller of Escondido, California; Richard Craig Miller of Keith Springs, Ophelia McGee of Winchester; Johnnie Clark of Winchester, Thelberta (“Toppie”) Sells of Winchester, Peggy (Junior) Smith of Winchester, Melissa (Danny) Nunley of Keith Springs, Kathy Metcalf of Winchester, Jimmy (Judy) Miller of Winchester, and Larry (Melinda) Miller of Winchester; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
