Carolyn Sue Pittman, a longtime resident of Colbert County, Alabama died peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2022, at the age of 74 years. Carolyn was a loving mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. Carolyn loved to sit on her porch in her favorite rocking chair. Many stories of laughter and love were shared there. She will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Charles Loyd Pittman and his wife Stephanie, Charlotte Pittman, and Crystal Pittman. Carolyn will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Colby Pittman, Callie Pittman, Cierra Hand, Kearra Hand, and Jaydyn Wilson; by her sister and best friend, Mary Allred; and a host of nephews and nieces. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Josephine McCreless; her son, Brandon Pittman; as well as her sisters, Nina Trawick and Judy Petree; and brother Danny McCreless.
Visitation will be held on August 24, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm., at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. Funeral services will be held on August 25,2022 at 3:00 pm., at the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield, Alabama. Rev. Jerry Crowden will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Charles Pittman, Jason Schleifer, Jerry Logan, Danny Borden, Rickey Borden, and Skyler Nelson.
