William “Bill” Lee Altom, age 91 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 18, 2022 at St. Thomas West in Nashville.
There will be a private family service. Burial will be in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Altom was born on August 28, 1930, in Henderson County, Tennessee, to the late William and Ollie Gooch Altom. He was retired from NES and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He loved gardening & yardwork, dark honey, and most especially his children and grandchildren. Mr. Altom was of the Church of Christ Faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Brooksie & Virginia; and his grandson, Jason.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ivy Altom; son, Langdon (Shenia) Altom; daughters, Elizabeth (Chubby) Brinkley and Sondra (Troy) Everette; grandchildren, Ashley, LA, Gabe, Jacob, and Laurel; great-grandchildren, Tyson, Gabby, Amalee, Gibson, Carter, LuLu, and Trent; and great-great-grandchild, Ellie.
