Evelyn Marie Gray, 91, of Corinth, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her residence after an extended illness. Born on May 18, 1931to the late Joe and Modie Lee Broadaway Barnes, she attended Fields Elementary and Farmington High School. She traveled extensively in her early years, living in Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania with her husband Milford T. Gray who preceded her in death in 1992. Marie was a devoted mother, an avid crafter, who also enjoyed cooking, art, and flea marketing. She was a member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1-2 pm at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church with services to follow at 2 pm. Bro. Keith Hays will officiate and interment will follow at Magnolia Gardens. Pallbearers include Jeff Modlin, Howard Bullard and Steve Wall. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Marie’s memory include her daughter, Lynn Gray; her grandson, Brandon Shane Gray (Chris); her daughter-in-law: Darlena Gray; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents and her husband of 44 years, Marie was preceded in death by her two sons, Barry Gray and Jerry Gray; her brothers, Dewey Barnes and John Barnes; and her sisters, Lois Barnes and Annis Rencher.
