Memorial Service for Chad Alan Smith, 36 of Somerville will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 7:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Hughes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Smith was born June 24,1986 in Decatur, AL to Mark A. Smith and Cheryl Clark Smith. He passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at UAB Hospital. He worked for the Lee County School system starting in 2009. For the last year he has been a Principal for the Lee County School System. Chad was a Missionary to Mtendere where he was on there Education Board. He liked to be outdoors and to travel. His special interest was in Children and he enjoyed teaching them. Chad loved his dogs and volunteered at Shelters walking them. He graduated from Auburn University in 2009 and got his Masters degree in Administrative Education in 2012. He loved kids, adventures, travel and his family.
