Jeri Lynn Donaldson Winfrey, age 71 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on March 1, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Joe and Jody (Davenport) Donaldson. Jeri was a school teacher and theatre director for many years, retiring from the Sumner County School System in 2021. She loved performing, teaching, reading mystery novels, and doing crosswords, but nothing compared to spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. Jeri had a heart for those in need and spent her time in United Methodist Women’s ministries and in her personal life donating time and resources to child hunger causes. Jeri is survived by her loving children, Jo Devon (Fred) Wix, Cameron (Melissa) Winfrey, and Jami Frazier; and seven adoring grandchildren, Zeke and Neely Wix, Lila, Sam, Emmett, and Charlie Winfrey, and Louis Frazier. A family graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 14th at 10:00am at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland. A memorial service will be held in Fort Smith, AR, at a later date.
