Bruce Edward Elliott, age 60 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on October 18, 1961, to the late Ernest Edward Elliott and L.J. and Lois (Hamilton) Brewer. Bruce had been employed in law enforcement for twenty-eight years, working for Huntland Police Department, Decherd Police Department, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting. He was a simple man and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Bruce is survived by his children, Ben Elliott and Tommy Elliott; grandchildren, Leslie Elliott and Adam Owens; brother, Kevin Brewer; sisters, Debbie (Bruce) Varnell and Karen Dodd; four nieces and nephews; and good friends, Bobby Melzer and Joshua Brannon. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 25, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
