Levi Franklin Nix, age 78, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, February 17, 2013. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brian Scott officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Nix was a Colbert County native and served in the US Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Violet Nix and his brother Floyd “Bud” Nix.
He is survived by his wife, Fleta Nix of Tuscumbia; sons, Tim Nix of Tuscumbia, Eddie Nix (Mary Beth) of Madison; daughters, Teresa Box (John) of Tuscumbia, Sharon McGee (Richard) of Phil Campbell, sister, Mytrle Lee Blackwood, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Steven Box, Jim Slay, Jr., Allen Nix, Nicky Nichols, Mark Nix and Earnest Presley.
