Glenn D. Stewart, 79 of Dora, passed away April 20, 2022.
He was a U. S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired coal miner from Drummond Co. and a member of the UMWA. One of his greatest attributes was that he was a hardworking and devoted family man. He loved fishing and was an avid Alabama football fan.
Funeral services will be Friday April 22, 22 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. James Aycox will officiate. Burial will follow in Bryan Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Deward and Mildred Stewart.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Stewart; children, Cary Stewart (Kim) and Renae Wynn (Randall); grandchildren, Tyler Pate (Kayla), Jason Pate and Heather Pate; great grandchildren, Willow and Joseph; sister, Patsy Reeder; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
