Mr. Charles E. Foster age 69 of Ashland passed away April 18, 2022 at his home. He was born in Clay County and graduated from Clay County High School and attended college for two years. Mr. Foster retired from the City of Ashland as City Clerk after 28 years of service. He enjoyed working in his upholstery shop and restoring furniture for his friends and family. Charles was a soft spoken quiet man that loved fixing things and helping others in their time of need.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law Jay and Elyse Foster of Madison, his grandchildren, Madison, Ethan, and John Henry Foster, his sister and brother in law, Faye Hoover (Ed) of Tallahassee, Fla., and two brothers, Paul Foster (Jane) of Montgomery, James Ray “Butch” Foster of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward Foster and Francis Elizabeth Knight Foster, and also his wife Ann B. Foster.

A joint graveside memorial service for Charles and his wife late Ann will be held on Sunday April 24, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Ashland City Cemetery.
