Funeral Services for Mrs. “Jodie” Morris Spears, age 53 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Spears passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home. She lived in Delta for over 30 years but had moved to Newell in the past 7 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and wanted to spend as much time with her family as possible. Jodie was also a great friend and would help anyone she could.
She is survived by her daughter: Ragan Waters(Matthew) of Lineville; three sons: Jedediah Spears of Wedowee, Joel Spears of Wedowee and Samuel spears of Lineville; her mother: Francis Salvage; three grandchildren: James Martin Sean Spears, Rebecca Catherine Spears and Kaylie Waters; two brothers, David Morris(Theresa) of Alexandria and Robert Morris(Roselle) of Auburn, NY plus a host of nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father: Dave Morris; one son: Caleb Ezra Spears and grandparents, Clayton and Edna Morris.
Pallbearers will be Jedediah Spears, Samuel Spears, Matthew Waters, Zach Duke, Jessie Duke and Caleb Clemons.
Her visitation will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
