James Martin “Joe” Coats, age 83, of Greenbrier, TN passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at his residence. Graveside services will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in the Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, AR with Bro. Todd L. Yates officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Thompson, Carl Thompson, Michael Troupe, Terry Coats, Scott Coats and Jerry Coats.
Mr. Coats was born January 21, 1939 in Tyronza, AR to the late Melvin and Dossie Mae Edwards Coats. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired roofer, and enjoyed doing yard work, taking care of his flowers and feeding the birds.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Coats was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by a son, Aaron Davis of Saudi Arabia; two grandsons, Austin Davis of Dallas, TX and Tyler Davis of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Dorothy Monsorno of Greenbrier, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
