Steve Ray Broyles, age 67 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on December 31, 1954. Steve was a 1973 graduate of Franklin County High School and had also earned degrees from Motlow State Community College and Nashville Tech. He had been employed at Stewart Mapping before working at Comcast (previously Viacom) for twenty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating and skiing, as well gardening. He loved all kinds of music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Steve will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor…he loved having fun and making other people laugh. He was a member of Cedar Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Greeneville. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Broyles; and cousin, Gregg Treadway. Steve is survived by his loving mother, Minnie Treadway Broyles; sister, Cindy (Phil) Burt; love of his life, Kathy Crosslin; niece, Rachelle (Josh) Blair; nephews, Rusty (Crystal) Burt, and Daniel Burt (Kelly Hale); great-nephews and great-nieces, Mikayla, Rylie, Joslin, Miles, and Makston; special aunt, Bonnie Treadway; many cousins; and his four-legged best friend, Sassy. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 pm EST on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Philadelphia Cemetery in Limestone, Tennessee.
