Roy E. Brooks of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 age of 92 at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, Arakanese while under Hospice comfort Care.
He was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on January 12, 1930 to Leonard and Myrtle Brooks. He graduated high school in Sherman County Mississippi and later joined the army as a M.P. during the Korean War. He was stationed in Austria during his service for the war.
He later attended Itawamba Jr. college in Mississippi and Florence State College in Alabama where he graduated with Bachelor Degree in History and Math. After teaching High School for several years, he enter the Credit Finance business where he worked for 39 years.
He was a member of the Grundy Street Church of Christ in Tullahoma, Tennessee and was formerly an Elder at the Hamilton Church of Christ, Hamilton, Alabama. His life motto was, ‘put God first in everything and all else will fall into place. His love for God proceeded anything that he did in his life.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Hamilton Church of Christ.
Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Church of Christ with Bro. Ted Burleson and Bro. Chad Banks officiating. Interment at Shiloh cemetery in Hackleburg.
