Mrs. Carlene Hopkins age 79 of McMinnville, TN, died Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was born on December 04, 1942 in Spencer, TN, was a member of Newtown The Baptist Church of Christ, and was a homemaker. Carlene was previously employed with The Collection and with FormFit Rogers, and her family was everything to her and she treasured them most. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Edna Mae Mills Shockley, sisters Florencene Johnson, Wilma Luna, Davidene Tobbitt, Evelyn Womack, and Georgie Hodge, and brother Charles Earnest Shockley.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years Charles Hopkins, sons Eddie (Judy) Hopkins and Ricky Hopkins, sisters Nina (R.C.) Tobbitt and Donna Brady (late husband Jimmy), grandchildren Chad Hopkins, Dustin (Crystal) Hopkins, Kevin Hopkins, and Nigel (Collette) Hopkins, great grandchildren Michael Hopkins, Logan Hopkins, Braxton Hopkins, Kulyn Hopkins, Lillie Mae Hopkins, and Connor Hopkins, her very best friend Pat Basham, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Martin Bell will officiate. The Hopkins family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.
