Funeral for Betsy Carol Oliver, 62, of Decatur will be Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scotty Hogan, senior pastor at Westmeade Baptist Church officiating. Graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. at Douglas Cemetery in Douglas. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Oliver, who died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at her home, was born July 3, 1950, in Albertville to Calvin and Norma Gable. She was a homemaker and a member of Westmeade Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Oliver; and her mother, Norma Gable.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Oliver of Yorktown, Va., and J. Philip Oliver of Knoxville, Tenn.; her father, Calvin “Jeff” Gable of Snead; two sisters, Patricia Bentley of Oneonta and Tammy Cofield of Rainbow City; and four grandchildren, Betsy, Lilla and Luke Oliver of Brandon, Fla., and Belle Oliver of Rainsville.
