COLBERT COUNTY-February is going to be a jam packed month for events in Colbert County.  With music, art, movies toy shows and of course tea time….there will be something for everyone…also included is a sneak peek of some of the fun and entertaining events happening in March brought to you by Colbert County Tourism & Convention Bureau.

February 1-March 12, 2022 – Tim Stevenson: The Past 30 Years, Tennessee Valley Museum of Art, 511 N Water St, Tuscumbia. A native-born Alabama artist, Tim Stevenson has been painting for over fifty years in the tradition of the ‘Old Masters.’ Self-taught, he worked in cartooning, advertising,           illustration, and billboard painting on his way to become one of the country’s finest landscape and representational painters. February 1-March 12, 2022 – The Year of the UNA Woman, Tennessee Valley Museum of Art, 511 N Water St, Tuscumbia. February 11 & 12, 2022 – 4th Annual Northwest Alabama Farm Toy Show, Clarion Inn, 4900 Hatch Blvd., Sheffield. (256-381-4710 for Toy Show Room Rates) Collectors from across the country will be present to display and sale farm toys such as die cast toys, pedal tractors, and other related farm toy memorabilia.  Display competition, door prizes, and pedal tractor raffle. February 17, 2022—Muscle Shoals Music: Songwriters in the Round, Fizz @Clarion Inn, 4900 Hatch Blvd, Sheffield. Local songwriter and Wishbone Studio owner Billy Lawson will host and emcee the show each month. He will be accompanied by an array of songwriters, both well established and up-and-coming talent. February 19, 2022 – “The History of Tea & Tea Culture,” Belle Mont, 1569 Cook Lane, Tuscumbia. February 26, 2022 – firekid: Muscle Shoals Metaphysical, Ritz Theatre, 111 W 3rd St, Sheffield. Firekid returns to the Shoals with this first performance in their tour for their new album, Muscle Shoals Metaphysical. Show starts at 7:30pm. Concessions available. Nashville-based  firekid is the synth-shaded, bluegrass-influenced indie folk project consisting of Dillon Hodges & Heidi Feek. February 27, 2022 – Year of the Woman: Celebrating 150 Years of Women at UNA, Norton Auditorium, UNA campus, Florence. As UNA celebrates 150 years of great women inspiring change at the university, the Shoals Symphony Orchestra features a selection of classical works by esteemed female composers, whom are distinguished for contributions to stirring, ground-breaking professional orchestral music.
