Mrs. Anna Banks Boman, age 96, of Vernon, AL, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Boman was born September 25, 1925, in Lamar County, AL, to the late William B. and Mary Woods. She was a homemaker, and was married to the late James Edward Boman. Mrs. Boman was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Wayne Boman; her great-grandson, Grady Boman Smith; two brothers, Lee Woods and Olus Woods; and two sisters, Millie Gray Gilmer and Mittie Gann.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, at 1:00 PM, in the Chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jason Phelphrey, Josh Locke, JD Boman, Zachary Boman, Lee Hudson, Phillip Guyton, and Chris Welsh.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Edward (Carol) Boman and William Grady (Sherry) Boman, both of Vernon, AL; one daughter, Theolyn Ray (Dr. Nolan) Hudson of Birmingham, AL; seven grandchildren, Amy Boman Wagley of Franklin, TN, Natalie Boman of Auburn, AL; Zachary Boman of Auburn, AL, Stephanie Hudson of Atlanta, GA, Lee Hudson of Atlanta, GA, Brittany Boman Welsh of Birmingham, AL; and Kelsey Boman Guyton of Madison, AL; and 11 great-grandchildren.
