Mr. Karl Heinz Holt age 73 of McMinnville, TN, died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Ascension St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born December 23, 1948 in Germany, was a member of East End Church of Christ, retired from DeZurik as a fork lift operator, loved music and played the trumpet and drums in several bands throughout the area. Karl enjoyed watching the Titans, playing golf, and being with his loving son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who loved him. He has gone home.
Mr. Holt was preceded in death by parents Arthur Isaac and Elvira Shumaucher Holt, father-in-law and mother-in-law Elma and Dortha Jones, and brother-in-law Wayne Jones. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Debra Jones Holt, son Jerry (Angela) Holt, sister June Jones, grandchildren Trey Holt and Nikki (Nick) Fordice, great grandchildren Tyler Fordice, Alana Fordice, and Ivey Fordice, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Larry and Jane Jones, Janie Jones, Tony Jones, and Larry and Pattie Smith, several nieces and nephews, and Karl’s christian family at East End Church of Christ whom he thought so much of.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 02, 2022 at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Kevin Key officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. Noon until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home.
