Bettye. L. Burton, age 85 departed this world for her heavenly home Friday, January 28, 2022.

MawMaw had a green thumb and a golden heart.  A garden full of veggies, a yard full of beautiful flowers and a house full of great grandkids.

She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for 50 years.  She loved the Lord, her family, her church family and taking care of anyone in the community that needed an uplifting or a red velvet cake.

She is now reunited with her husband of 65 beautiful years, that she has longed to be with since the day he passed away.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with services following at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.  Richard Aaron and Ray Brown will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her Husband-Coleman Burton; her Parents-Harvey and Estelle Drummond; her Sister-Sue Farley; her Brother-Elton Drummond.

She is survived by her Sons-Larry Burton (Willa) and Barry Burton (Pam) both of Jasper; Sister-Doris Calvert of Fultondale; Grandchildren-Brad Burton (Jamie), Erica Calvert (Keith), April Reed (Jason); and Nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brad Burton, Chad Calvert, Keith Aaron, Keith Calvert, Ray Brown and Rod Aaron.
