Denice Powers, 53, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Powers was born on November 2nd, 1968, to Clifton and Patricia Pylant.
Mrs. Powers is survived by her husband Kenneth Sayre; sons Jordan Powers (Kaydalynn) of Nauvoo, AL, Charles Powers of Athens, AL; daughter Amberley Powers of Athens, AL; mother Patricia Pylant of Athens, AL; brother Clifton Carl Pylant of Athens, AL; and grandchildren Brody Powers, Bradley Powers, Aiden Powers, and Jayden Powers.
Preceded in death by her father; a brother; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Marcus Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:50 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Patterson, Daniel Patterson, Eddie Powers, Johnny Corum, John Patterson, Chase Owens, David Holt, and Will Lyle.
Mrs. Powers loved to write poems. She enjoyed making crafts and going shopping.
