B. William Hornsby

B. William Hornsby, of Huntsville, was born in Kershaw, South Carolina on May 20, 1930 and went to his Heavenly Home on December 30, 2021.  He was 91 years old.

He was affectionally known as B.W., Papa and Grand Pa. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, being deployed to France and Germany during his active duty.

Mr. Hornsby worked with his father-in-law in the roofing and HVAC industry until beginning his career at Redstone Arsenal where he worked for the Department of the Army Internal Security.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Edith Helen Posey and parents, Bertha Nappy and W.H. “Willie” Hornsby.

Mr. Hornsby is survived by two sons: Randy Hornsby and Rodney Hornsby (Tina); two daughters: Becky Enfinger (Gary) and Janet Dennis (Milton); four grandchildren: Bethay Enfinger Nichols (CW3 Mitchell), Chase Hornsby, Tessa Smith (Taylor) and Stephen Dennis; and one great-grandson: Colt Wilder Nichols.

A family graveside service will be Monday, January 3, 2022 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. Gary Enfinger officiating.  Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
