Gaynes Lee Chavis, age 75 of Sumiton, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at UAB Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dwight Geist will officiate.
Mr. Chavis was preceded in death by his Wife-Linda Chavis; Brother-James Chavis; Mother-Willie Mae Davis; Father-Tom Davis.
He is survived by his Wife-Lynda Johnson Chavis; Daughter-Toni Carter (Mike); Son-Steven Chavis; Sister-Jane McDonald (Henry).
