Mrs. Myrlie “Marie” Garrett Stone, age 95, of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
Mrs. Stone was born on June 4, 1926, in Marshall County, to the late Bazzle and Nettie Harper Garrett. She worked in production for Chrysler and a lifelong member of the Arab Church of Christ. Mrs. Stone was an award winning quilter and shared her love for quilting by teaching those around her. She is the last living sibling in her family.
Mrs. Stone leaves behind a daughter, Paula Parker; grandson and wife, Ryne and Adrienne Parker; great grandchildren, Kate and Drew Parker; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stone is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stone and 11 siblings.
A visitation will be held at the Arab Church of Christ from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 with the service to follow at 1:00 pm at the Arab Church of Christ with Brother Ken Tyler officiating. Interment will follow at the Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers escorting Mrs. Stone will be Wes Trammell, Scott Hawkins, David Garrett, Brady Brooks, Jeff Morgan, and Keith Morgan.
