Esther Faye Barnett of Athens passed away on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Barnett was born on October 10th, 1946, to Grady and Thelma Pitts Adams.
Mrs. Barnett is survived by her husband Richard Barnett; daughters Tammy Hargrove (Bruce Watson) and Penny Broadway (Phillip); sons Greg Barnett (Teresa) and Justin Barnett; grandchildren Josh Hargrove (Aly). Dena Redding (Michael), Lance Barnett (Morgan), Netayna Deloach (Tyler), Michael Clark (Holly), Ashley Burris, Chris Barnett (Laura), and Nicholas Morris; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother James “Buddy” Adams.
Mrs. Barnett is preceded by her parents Grady and Thelma Adams; five sisters; seven brothers; and son-in-law Tommy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barnett will be Monday, December 6th, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Mike Moore officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Josh Hargrove, Chris Barnett, Michael Clark, Lance Barnett, Darren Haggermaker, and Jacob Haggermaker. Burial will be at Dement Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnett loved sewing, crosswords, cooking and her family.
